I can imagine/project a dual EPROM switching board to put directly into the socket of the original chip, with a switcher for choosing which OS to boot it will be like having a "Jekyll & Hyde" audio processor! Obviously I will share any info about it, in GPL style. I already have a binary backup of my M7 to swap, for offering the same chance to anyone who has an F7. I don't have an F7 (yet.) to verify this, but I would surely make a test if I could have a copy of the F7 EPROM: I would burn a test chip for a temporary replacement of my M7 one, and. I own a Sony DPS-M7 unit and recently I was searching the whole web for any useful documents and various stuff related to it I found no service manual for this model but just a "minimal" two-page service manual for the DPS-F7, and according to its contents it's clear that the only real difference between these two units (except for the front panel) is the EPROM chip containing their operating system: same memory size, different firmware.
